Space to burn and fantastic service

Pros: We were up grade and the room was huge. Both of us got sick and they sent a nurse immediately and then consulted with a doctor without leaving the room.

Cons: Huge amount of facilities. Great location

Pros: Very comfortable - I like the older style rooms with a big bathroom and an actual bath. The pool area is fantastic too. Nice and close to all the shopping malls in Makati.

Pros: The gym was excellent. The staff were lovely. Room was spacious with lots of storage

Cons: Sage bar was good but service was hit and miss, three people behind the bar, but only one appeared to be working, the guy with the glasses. That made things a lot slower than it could have been

Good place to stay in Manila.

Pros: Staff welcoming attitude, cleanliness and good location.

Cons: The hotel theme became old and it's time for renovation. Bad odour was quite evident on Saturday morning, especially at the lobby.

It was a memorable stay and we had the best view of the fireworks during the new year countdown

Pros: The staff were attentive and gracious. The hotel location is perfect and it has retained its charm. We were also given a room with the view of the New Year fireworks, which I requested and the 20% discount on the breakfast buffet.

Cons: The buffet breakfast was great but we didn't like having to share our table with another group. The rooms need a major makeover as it's already showing it's age esp the carpet. It felt a bit dusty too

Pros: I always request to be given a corner room. But Makati Shangri-La is the first hotel that actually made an effort to take note and to accommodate my request. The concierge also helped me adjust my spa reservation promptly. I had some unique room service requests which were also accommodated. Loved how the room was spacious and elegant.
