Somerset Central Salcedo Makati

Pros: Spotlessly clean, with very comfortable beds. Quiet and well soundproofed. Perfectly located. Excellent staff. This was our last hotel during our trip through the Philippines. We thought it would be nice to spend the final few days in a pleasant district of Manila. What we expected to be just a short stop before our departure turned out to be the best experience of our journey - at least in terms of hotel standards. Don’t get me wrong, we stayed at several resorts along the way, many of them far more expensive, yet none matched the comfort and quality we found here. I suppose that’s the magic of big-city standards. I truly cannot recommend this place and its wonderful staff enough. They were always there when needed and made everything so much easier. If we ever return to Manila, I know exactly where we’ll stay. Thank you!

Pros: We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and I especially loved the bathroom, it's spacious. The bed was very comfy, and the location was convenient. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

Good value for your money

Pros: There is plenty of restaurants nearby, Greenbelt shoppingmalls in a reasonable walking distance. The property is well renovated, clean and safe. A very good Nail Spa in the same building.

Pros: Very clean and aesthetically pleasing location all around, inside and outside the building. Staff were always courteous and accommodating for all requests, whether for logistics or cleaning. Also helped with a room transfer at request. Site location was close to lots of interesting spots which helped for convenience and overall accessibility. Rooms were orderly and had many utilities, whether for cooking or cleaning, and were always kept well prepared. Overall, great spot, well worth the money for the star we had.

Cons: Breakfast is free but not always in perfect condition. Can be difficult for some rides to arrive in an orderly fashion due to the one way streets.

Overall a pleasant stay

Pros: The room was comfortable and has everything you need if you needed to stay longer.

Cons: The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it doesn’t have a great variety for Western taste.

Pros: The hotel staff were helpful, courteous and welcoming at all times, from the guys on the door to the receptionists and room cleaners. Really excellent in every respect. The aircon in my room twice leaked water, and both times a maintenance engineer was there in minutes. My room was a decent size and spec, the bed extremely comfortable. There's a good gym too. As for location, Salcedo is a relatively quiet haven from the traffic and noise of downtown Makati, yet close to the action.

Cons: What lets the hotel down is the only food outlet - the Nonya Cafe. It is dreadful. Breakfast is in a cramped area upstairs in the cafe, which seems to be open to outsiders too, so was always busy and chaotic. There is not enough choice in the breakfast buffet for western pallets, and one day the egg station ran out of eggs. This was unsurprising, as every day around half of the main courses on the already limited restaurant menu were unavailable, as was orange juice. Whoever manages this place needs to get his or her act together and stock properly. For this reason, I won't be staying at the hotel again, which is a shame, as in all other respects it performs well.

Pros: Moment I walked in, greeted by the Valet, reception staff were alert and ready to help. Rooms were more than I imagined. Partner is a clean freak and she could not fault presentation. It was an enjoyable stay.

Cons: It’s minor but a personal taste. Breakfast arrangements could have had some bacon and mushrooms at the buffet😁 Seriously there was nothing negative I could consider.

Pros: In a good location, good value and clean. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Pros: Room was very good, we have a 2 bedroom apartment with all the facilities. I book 1 hour massage, was amazing.

Cons: Breakfast..very basic, no much option, nothing continental. They really need to do something about the Breakfast. I heard many people complaining about.

Pros: 1st choice in Manila. Great Staff, clean, good location, nice bar. This time I also had special requirements for check in and out + airport shuttle, they managed it all.
