Pros: Friendly staff, great central location with lots going on around it

Cons: Windows are single glazed so the daily nightlife and never ending rooster crowing can be quite loud

Very comfortable stay with no hassles

Pros: The Amelie Hotel is centrally located in Malate, close to a big shopping mall (Robinsons) The staff is friendly and the room was big and very clean. Very good value for the money.

Cons: The shower did not drain properly.

Pros: The breakfast buffet was targeted more for Filipino breakfast favourites than Western, so I felt the value was not there.

Cons: You cannot choose your neighbours. Amelie Hotel's neighbour is a Bar Plaza and on Saturday night a live band played very loud, indecipherable heavy music until 3 am. Thankfully, it was the one night of my 6 night stay.

Pros: The helpful and friendly staff The very big size of the room, the good soundproofing, i couldn't hear any noises. Free bottles of water The varied breakfast There is a shopping mall at the end of the street.

Cons: I have never had hot water in the shower only warm water The location is a bit far from the intramuros by foot. The hotel street and the suburbs are not the best one in Manila.

Our Amelie experience.

Pros: We enjoyed the restaurant on-site, pool and views from the 12th floor. The adjoining rooms were very useful for our group. The hotel was very conveniently located for us.

Cons: Room 711 had problems with the bathroom. The toilet blocked several times despite no paper being put in it. The temperature of the shower was cold and could not seem to be adjusted.

A quiet, comfortable and tasteful place to stay - genuinely relaxing

Pros: Convenient central location - useful to have Robinsons Mall just a few minutes' walk away, and plenty of places to eat and drink in the area. Very comfortable, quiet room with modern facilities and decor. Reliable WiFi. Very good breakfast buffet (including eggs cooked to order). Friendly and helpful staff. No fuss about extending my stay on the spot.

Cons: Can't think of anything - except the pool was tiny (at least there was a pool). My stay coincided with torrential rain and flooding - even right outside the hotel entrance, thankfully not inside - but of course that had nothing to do with the hotel and doesn't affect their rating.

Pros: Hotel Amelie is admittedly the only place I have stayed in Manila, but I was completely satisfied and will certainly stay there again next time. Great staff. Great location. Great value for money.

Cons: I have no complaints at all.
